Question:
I have been taking Tumeric for the longest time and was wondering if ths is the same as Curcumin, benefit wise, etc?
Supplement Facts - Serving Size 2 Capsules - Servings Per Container 120 - Amount Per Serving % Daily Value Turmeric (Curcuma longa) (rhizome) 1.44 grams

Answer:
Allen,
In a word, no.
Turmeric contains 5% curcumin.
Curcumin has an absorbency rate of less than 10%, so taking 1.44 grams of Turmeric will give you 7.2mg of curcumin
CurcuminX4000 delivers 200mg of Curcumin per cap.
