CurcuminX4000™

With the recent emergence of Curcumin on the health scene you may still be unfamiliar with all the benefits and uses of this phytochemical and curcuminoid found in turmeric, a favorite spice commonly used in Indian as well as Thai cuisine. A natural polyphenol, i.e., a beneficial group of chemicals, Curcumin comes from the curcuma longa plant’s dried root. This plant can be found in India and regions of Asia; however, Curcumin, appropriately renamed the “miracle spice” can be found right here at home in the form of a highly efficient supplement.

Curcumin is fortunately popular at a time when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) share with us some disturbing news. “Chronic Diseases are the Leading Causes of Death and Disability in the U.S.” The United States is certainly not alone when it comes to death stemming from chronic disease. Other countries have similar concerns.

The statistics the CDC has compiled are reason for alarm.

The numbers are this:

  • · Death from chronic disease is responsible for 7 out of 10 deaths, with cancer, heart disease, and stroke making up more than half of those deaths every year.
  • · 133 million people residing in the United States, i.e., approximately 1 out of every 2 adults, had one or more chronic diseases in 2005.

Almost 1 out of 2! And the trend is increasing, not decreasing!

A Chronic Disease Epidemic

How can Curcumin help with this epidemic?

Cancer is certainly near the top of the list for death from chronic disease in this country and stems from free radical damage and inflammation.  Curcumin can help prevent cancer because it brings with it very high levels of antioxidants, key elements in eradicating free radicals and the damage they create in the body.

Curcumin is also classified as an anti-inflammatory and therefore decreases the inflammation associated with cancer and the other chronic diseases that plague us.

Curcumin fights cancer in other ways by:

  • Hindering the growth of cancerous cells
  • Blocking carcinogens from entering cells
  • Stimulating the process that kills cancer cells
  • Strengthening the immune response
  • Cutting off the lifeline (blood supply) to cancer cells

Clearly Curcumin is a powerful ally in the fight against cancer, but what about heart disease and stroke?

Atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries is the primary reason people contract heart disease and experience strokes. Heart disease can really sneak up on you as it starts out quite slowly. Fats, some in the form of cholesterol, attach to the artery walls and create plaques which are harmful and potentially life-threatening. When these plaques grow, which they inevitably do, the artery walls are compromised leading to the decreased circulation of blood to the organs and tissues, including the heart. This decrease in blood flow leads to the death of coronary tissues resulting in chest pain and heart attacks.

Curcumin:

  • Provides the antioxidants that eliminate the free radicals that are responsible for the breakdown of fats that occur through the oxidation process (only oxidized fat contributes to plague in the arteries).
  • Increases the level of good (HDL) cholesterol and at the same time decreases the bad (LDL) levels of cholesterol.

Curcumin’s Other Roles

In addition to Curcumin’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties Curcumin also possesses properties which are:

  • Anti-bacterial
  • Anti-viral
  • Anti-fungal

And has a role to play in helping those with:

  • Liver damage/liver disorders
  • Problems relating to the gallbladder
  • Digestive concerns
  • Eye complications (e.g., cataracts)

This is still a limited list!

Why CurcuminX4000™?

It’s easy to see why Curcumin but why CurcuminX4000™?

This is why. Something else you may not know about Curcumin is in isolation it is not easily utilized by the body; however, there is definitely a way to take advantage of its obvious benefits. Formulation and the percentage of Curcumin in that formulation are the key components in receiving the health benefits Curcumin has to offer.

When Curcumin is purchased in cheap and improperly formulated supplements somewhere around 5% or even less of the phytochemical is actually in there.  The small amount of Curcumin that is in there can’t be put to work in the body anyway. Why bother?

Stop wasting your valuable, precious time and look for CurcuminX4000™ in the first place. CurcuminX4000™ is what works!

It works due to its:

  • Bioavailability (meaning your body can use it)!
  • Phytosome® technology.

Phytosome® technology?

Let’s break this down a little! Phytosomes in the simplest terms are extracts from plants and with Phytosome® technology these extracts are bound to phophatidylcholine, a phospholipid and an essential part of every single cell in the body. We can manufacture phophatidylcholine; however, we can also take it in from our food and our supplements.

Because phophatidylcholine is easily absorbed when taken orally researchers discovered when Curcumin was attached to this phospholipid it also increased the bioavailability of Curcumin. This is the science behind CurcuminX4000™!

Research studies back this up.

A study involving human subjects looked at the difference between taking a little more than a tenth of CurcuminX4000™ as compared to the much larger amount taken of a source containing Curcumin95%.  The benefits derived were the same! With a formulation that is 20-45 times more efficient CurcuminX4000™ is clearly the more powerful and most economical choice for your Curcumin needs.

A study involving animal subjects found similar findings. When comparing CurcuminX4000™ to another Curcumin extract:

  • More than 20 times the amount of CurcuminX4000™ was found in the bloodstream.
  • More (substantially more) than 20 times of CurcuminX4000™ was found in the body’s tissues.

CurcuminX4000 and Meriva®

CurcuminX4000™ and Meriva® are an enviable combination, both are patented, and bring together Curcumin, a dietary polyphenol with soy lecithin (also known as soy phosphatidyl choline), for a formulation containing 20% Curcumin.

So taking Curcumin as CurcuminX4000™ takes care of both incorporating the benefits of Curcumin into your lifestyle as well as incorporating it in a way that works!
